Indigo People: Those Who Walk Between The Worlds

On a recent trip to the Smith River, I brought with me a stack of books about Near-Death Experiences. How fascinating to hear from people who have visited the Other Side and come back to tell us about it.
By the second day in, I was reading voraciously with my mouth hanging open. I would describe the Indigo people of my acquaintance EXACTLY the same as those individuals who have survived death and seen the Light were being described.
There are many books on Near-Death Experiences. In my reading, the most exhaustive scientific study was conducted by Melvin Morse, an M.D. from the state of Washington, and described in the book Transformed by the Light (Ballantine Books).
Drawing on the expertise of a wide body of expert advisers, including many traditional medical people, Morse conducted a careful study using an “n” of 350 adults and a number of psychological tests and profiles. He discovered that ordinary people who had “died” and “seen the Light at the end of the tunnel” had this profile: Decreased death anxiety, strong sense that their life has a purpose and they are here to fulfill a goal (this includes attempted suicides), zest for life, strong belief in spiritual reality, a full range of psychic experiences from precognition to telepathy, visions and vivid spiritual dreams, difficulties wearing watches or problems with electrical appliances, spontaneous healings and personality transformations.
A description of the adult and child indigos in my practice would read, DITTO.
What does this mean? The majority of the population experiences almost complete amnesia when they incarnate on this planet. There is some evidence that this is gradual at first – that some children still remember who they are until that knowledge evaporates about 5 or 6 years of age. People who visit the Other Side when they “die,” simply come back again without some of the amnesia.
WHAT IF INDIGO PEOPLE MISSED SOME OF THE AMNESIA? WHAT IF THEY REMEMBER? WHAT IF ALL OVER THE WORLD PEOPLE ARE BEING BORN WITH BOTH THE KNOWLEDGE AND GIFTS THAT ARE NORMAL ON THE OTHER SIDE? WHAT IF OTHERS ARE WAKING UP AND EXPERIENCING – WITHOUT HAVING “DIED” – THIS SAME KNOWLEDGE AND GIFTEDNESS?
Dr. Morse asked this question in his research: What if an individual has the experience of “Seeing the Light” without a Near-Death Experience? Would the effects be the same? To answer this, he surveyed hundreds of individuals. His answer was a resounding YES. “We found that people who have a mystical experience of light – whether in a lucid dream or simply tripping into an altered state, without being near death – are just as transformed as those who have a near-death experience” (pp. 171-2).
Until now, humans have come into this world (for the most part) blind, deaf and dumb to who they are as Magnificent Beings of Light. I believe that Indigo people were born seeing a little more, hearing a little more, speaking a little more. And that the children with Bronze and Crystal auras who have come into the world even more recently, see, hear and speak even more clearly. And that all over the world the Great Souls who chose to come into this world blind, deaf and dumb, are opening their sight, hearing and speech in record numbers.
Surely this bodes well for the world! Since we have been writing on the Indigo Pages, my business partner Ronda Mau and I have received more than a hundred e-mails and phone calls from people who resonate with the descriptions of Indigos. They dream of a world where their gifts will be fostered by the community rather than ignored or stigmatized.
Having open eyes, ears and mouths in this sorrowful world is no easy task. It takes courage and support and love and hope and faith – and every other Divine quality we could name. My hope and prayer is that everyone who reads this article will join their energies in calling into being these qualities in support of the magnificent beings called Indigos who “walk between the worlds.”
